Brittany Aarons (Danielle Panabaker) is one of many 14-year-old girls who has a crush on popular singer and boy-toy Jordan Cahill (Taran Killam). However, she is bored of living a suburban existence and seeks a little something more. She meets the new girl Natasha Kwon-Schwartz (Brenda Song), who looks like an Upper East-sider from the City, except she's not. Upon Natasha's arrival, Brittany slowly starts to make a move towards breaking out of her conformist routines, but not before becoming an extra in Jordan's latest music video, and inviting Natasha to join her and her fangirl friends. When Jordan and his team bump into Brittany and Natasha after a show, they all collect their stuff, and accidentally take each other's cell phones.

• Trivia | Fun Facts

- Jordan Cahill's cell phone is a Palm Treo 600 smartphone.

- The movie was filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
• Goofs | Bloopers
- Continuity: In the courtyard of the school there can be seen a "Senior Countdown" banner. If the school is supposed to be a middle school, why is there a senior banner up?

- Revealing mistakes: When the mom takes away Brittany's big bowl of ice cream and hands it to the dad, the whipped cream tilts sideways revealing the cardboard it's resting on.

- Revealing mistakes: Towards the end of the movie when Jordan sings and plays his guitar, you can see that his hands are not strumming the strings of the guitar.

- Continuity: When Brittany's brother hacks Jordan's cell phone, the cell phone is off.

- Boom mic visible: Len and Eddie pull into the park, thinking they have found Jordan. On the hood of the minivan, the boom mic can be seen.

- Errors in geography: The girls' gym shirts indicate that their school is in Pennsylvania, but the houses in their suburban town have palm trees growing outside.

- Continuity: At the start of the bike chase, Danielle Panabaker does not put on a helmet, in the following shots, she is wearing one.

- Factual errors: The first time Jordan's assistant/best friend calls Jordan's phone, the number appears along with "Brittany Arons". Names only appear when called if it is a contact programmed in the phone.

[at a rally for a historic house]
Brittany Aarons: Honk to save Ashbrook House. Honk if you feel sorry for me.
[car honks three times]
