Shark: Season 1 (2006-2007)

Episode: 18, Trial by Fire
Original Air Date: April 5, 2007

Episode Recap:
Shark, Raina and an entire courtroom are taken hostage by Stanley, a man facing his third strike. Complicating matters, a convicted psychopathic murderer, Paul Masters, who is in court for sentencing is also among those taken hostage. Declaring his innocence, Stanley demands that his case be reviewed, and Shark immediately steps in as a mediator. After a thorough review of the robbery he was convicted of, it appears that he is innocent. Shark shares this info with him and tries to talk him down, but Masters starts playing mind games with him, telling him that Shark is a liar and pointing out all of his little tricks. Thinking Masters is the only one he can trust, Stanley unlocks him and they plan an elaborate escape. As they get ready to move Isaac breaks in to the courtroom to stop them. Masters uses Raina as a human shield to get Isaac to back off, but Stanley, inspired by Shark's insistence that it's never too late to turn one's life around, shoots Paul down before he can do any harm.
